Peter G. Stromberg is professor of anthropology at the University of Tulsa. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 1981 and was trained in psychology at the University of California, San Diego, and the University of California, Berkeley. Early in his career he studied religion, and he is the author of two books on Christianity in Europe and America. Over the last fifteen years or so, his research has focused on the topic of entertainment in contemporary American society.
