Misty K. Hook

Misty K. Hook, PhD, has had a lifelong interest in gender issues and psychology and was thrilled to find that she could parlay that interest into paying work. Consequently, after getting her doctorate in counseling psychology, Dr. Hook spent five years as an assistant professor of psychology teaching classes on gender and family issues. She is now a licensed psychologist in private practice where she deals a lot with gender issues in both her writing and counseling. She hopes that her work will nudge people toward a genderless and more equitable society.
