Martin Shuster

Martin Shuster is a philosopher who works on eighteenth to twentieth century European philosophy. In the fall of 2010, he will be the Chauncey Truax postdoctoral fellow at Hamilton College. He is presently finishing work on a monograph on evil and freedom. He is also deeply interested in aesthetics, particularly in television as a philosophical issue–not so much for the potential examples it can provide to philosophy, but more for how it can be understood as its own philosophical achievement and object, and in this regard hopes to write a scholarly treatment on the topic in the near future.
