David Hopkins is a comic book writer and essayist, a regular contributor to D Magazine, and Quick. In addition to this essay, he’s written for Smart Pop’s Man from Krypton and Webslinger. For the past eleven years, he’s taught English and creative writing at Martin High School. David lives in Arlington, Texas, with daughter Kennedy and his fiancée April.
